Inspiration for New Photographers
Part of what we love to do here, aside for educating our students in Photography, is inspiring them.
Many times, students will take a Photography course, but then lack the self-confidence to take the next step in actually becoming a professional photographer. They have the tools they need; they may have the education and equipment, but their self-confidence is holding them back.
This problem came to my attention. It saddened me to know that students (not only mine) were not doing what they really wanted to do, just because they were afraid. I decided I must do something about this, and help these aspiring photographers overcome these obstacles. I wanted to make them aware that other professional photographers also had obstacles standing in their way, but our passion for Photography was so strong, that we did not let anything deter us.
Together with six students of mine, who are now professional photographers, I created "AN EVENING OF INSPIRATION FOR ASPIRING PHOTOGRAPHERS". We spoke to these students, sharing our stories, inspiring them, as well as giving them practical tips on how to overcome these stumbling blocks, and finally follow their passion and do what they love to do. This event was open not only to my students, but to anyone who wanted to become a photographer.
It is important to remember that “Every master was once a beginner”, and everyone deserves to believe in themselves, follow their passion, and accomplish their goals!
